This afternoon, Friday, March 13th, the executive board and committee chairs of the Nevada Water Environment Association (NWEA) made the necessary and important decision to postpone the organization’s Annual Conference, slated for Reno, NV, March 31-April 3, 2020.
NWEA’s conference is rescheduled for October 27-30, 2020, at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, NV.
We’d like to thank the NWEA volunteers who worked tirelessly to create an amazing Annual Conference, and we will leverage their hard work as we reconfirm speakers, topics, and events for the conference in October.
Hotel reservations at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa will be canceled for those who booked within the CWEA room block. When your reservation in the block is cancelled, the hotel will email a notice and issue refunds if a credit card was charged.
Reservations made outside of the room block via other reservation vehicles (Hotels.com, Travelocity, etc), must be cancelled by you directly by contacting the online travel agent used for booking.
As we make arrangements with the hotel for October 27-30, 2020, a new hotel reservation link will be communicated to you via email and the NWEA and CWEA websites. In addition, if the hotel has your email on file, the Atlantis will email a link to make your new room reservation.
Your registration will automatically transfer to the rescheduled Annual Conference, October 27-30, 2020. There is no need to re-register. Registration is temporarily closed and we will notify members when registration re-opens.
If you do require a refund or would like to substitute someone, please send an email requesting refund/substitution instructions to email@example.com.
Exhibitor reservations will transfer automatically to the new dates. The exhibit hall floorplan will stay the same and you will keep the same booth number(s). If you can no longer exhibit with us and require a refund, please contact:
Christine Carchia, CWEA
We anticipate having the same technical program – we will contact presenters to confirm your availability to present on the rescheduled dates of October 27-30.
The executive and certification boards will meet soon to decide how to honor this year’s award-winning members and agencies. More info coming soon.
The NWEA Board places the health and safety of our members, attendees, and volunteers as our first priority, and we hope this situation passes quickly and hope that by taking this step to postpone we are contributing to protecting public health.
Stay safe, and we’ll see you later this year in Reno!
