Options for Successfully Managing Distributed/Decentralized Systems

08/16/2017

August 16, 2017

  • 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Distributed/decentralized systems are being increasingly used to serve small community needs for water infrastructure. Effective management is extremely important in successfully addressing the wide variety of needs. There are a number of methods that have proved successful; particularly the Responsible Management Entity (RME) approach, which relies on a public or private entity to be responsible for ensuring the infrastructure is technically and financially managed appropriately for the community’s situation. This webcast will highlight three such methods with proven success and provide information on managing and financing this cost effective approach to water infrastructure.
