Okay Golfers, this is an early reminder that the NWEA Golf Tournament has been schedule for Saturday, August 14th, 2010 @1:00 p.m. at the Dayton Valley Golf Club in Dayton, Nevada.
Cost for this year’s tournament is $70.00 which includes cart, BBQ lunch, and tee prizes. This year’s tournament will also be limited to the first 72 paid players, so sign up early.
Proceeds from this year’s tournament will help NWEA fund many of the beneficial programs which they sponsor annually, including the Operations Challenge Event.
The format for this year’s tournament will be a four-man scramble with four “Closest to the Pin” contests.
We also planning to sell mulligans and, as always, have a raffle for great prizes.
I want to thank all who participated in last year’s event and those who made
generous donations. Those wishing to make gift or cash donations (make checks payable to the NWEA), please mail to:

Dear NWEA 2010 Conference Attendees:
Your conference committee is reformatting the 2010 conference to provide you with an agenda chocked full of great information and instruction. We plan to have something for everyone—from engineers, to operators, to managers. Our goal this year is to give you a great conference at a reasonable price. “Not a lot of frills, but a lot of substance.”
There will be two full days for all participants (Tuesday, April 13th and Wednesday, April 14th.) April 15th will be the tail end of the conference for operators who will be testing for their certification, which will be held at Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility.
NWEA will be having breakout sessions all day Tuesday with a reception in the evening to welcome attendees and give everyone an opportunity to visit the vendors. There will be drinks, appetizers AND live music. (The entertainment is provided through the generosity of an NWEA member.)
Wednesday will consist of breakout sessions as well. Our business lunch meeting will also be held Wednesday. This is where awards will be given and the mantle of NWEA leadership passed on.
Of course, there will be special workshops for operators both days of the conference, with qualifying communities attending at no cost.
Our traditional golf tournament is also on the agenda and will be at Rosewood Golf Course. Details will follow, so make sure you check the website for updates.Explore our website for more conference information @ nvwea.org.
See you soon!
Stephen Long
